Victor Martins Joins Alpine Endurance Team for 2026 Le Mans and FIA WEC Campaign

Alpine Endurance Team has announced the signing of Victor Martins for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship and the 94th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, scheduled for June 10–14. The 24-year-old Frenchman will make his Le Mans debut in one of Alpine’s two A424 Hypercars competing in the top Hypercar class.

Martins arrives in endurance racing after an accomplished career in single-seaters. A graduate of the Alpine Academy, he earns his place in the A424 following three seasons in Formula 2 and will step into the seat vacated by Mick Schumacher, who is set to move to the IndyCar Series in 2026.

“I’m overjoyed to be joining the Alpine Endurance Team for 2026,” said the 2022 Formula 3 champion, who previously sampled the A424 during the 2024 FIA WEC Rookie Test in Bahrain. “This will be my first 24 Hours of Le Mans and my first FIA WEC season. It’s truly extraordinary and a major milestone in my career. I’m grateful to Alpine for the trust they’ve shown in me, and we’ll do everything possible to put Alpine among the leaders.”

With Martins confirmed, Alpine’s 2026 endurance lineup is now complete. He joins Frédéric Makowiecki, Jules Gounon, Charles Milesi, Ferdinand Habsburg and António Félix da Costa, whose arrival was announced last October, as the marque prepares for a full-scale assault on the World Endurance Championship and Le Mans.
